I’m loving this little series within Blogtober sharing all my knowledge of Blogging with you. Last week I discussed SEO for beginners and today I’m focusing on the basics of RT Accounts.
What is a RT Account?
Every RT Account is different. But the majority are there for the sole purpose of sharing bloggers work whether that’s retweeting blog posts, sharing their favourite blogger or liking posts. Most RT accounts will specify in their twitter handle that they are a RT account whether that’s RT, retweet or share. If it isn’t clear in their name then their bio will specify.
How do RT Accounts Work?
RT Accounts differ, some ask you to tag them in your posts that you would like retweeting others may ask you to use a #.
Influencer RT asks to use their #
Whereas Blogger Love Share state you can either tag them or use their #
Most RT Accounts hold weekly chats. These are a brilliant way of getting your blog out their to a larger audience and a great way of interacting with other bloggers. Some of my favourite chats are:-
Monday- Bee Chat 5pm
Tuesday- GRL POWR Chat 9pm
Wednesday- LBloggers Chat 7pm
Thursday- Bee Chat 9pm
Friday- The Blogger Chat 7pm
Sunday- LBloggers Chat 7pm
Blogosphere Chat 8pm
Having a blog is a great way to make friends with like minded people. It is through using these RT accounts that I have made so many blogger friends and have even had the chance to co-run a RT account.
Having co-run a RT account myself I know how hard it is to juggle it around work. Think of the amount of bloggers we have tag us or use or hashtag. The amount somedays is overwhelming and most RT accounts are run by one person. Therefore, it is impossible to RT all your work straight away and sometimes some of your work may not be retweeted because of this. This isn’t that RT account has anything against you they probably just have so many notifications they can’t RT all of them. Sometimes just a thank you means the world to those who are running RT accounts, don’t forget to acknowledge their work because at the end of the day they’re just the same as you and me… a normal person!
