Happy Hot Cocoa Day! Well I guess if you’re from England it’s Hot chocolate I just can’t get use to saying Hot cocoa without saying it in an American accent. Of course I had to honour this day because it’s my favourite hot drink! I love it that much I decided to make a Hot Cocoa but with a Christmas twist…
So, after much debate I decided to go with Gingerbread flavour hot chocolate as I thought that oozed Christmas. But, I’m not talented enough to make it from scratch so I may of cheated. But, if you want to make it from scratch there are loads of recipes online to make hot chocolate or you could buy powder hot chocolate and then flavour it to your own taste.
I was kindly gifted by my secret santa Louise a hot chocolate set which featured this gingerbread flavour from Wilko. Now, I know you’re probably thinking it hasn’t even been Christmas yet so why do you know what you have got. Well I decided to open my present earlier this year so I could film my reaction.
The set featured four festive flavours; gingerbread, peppermint, double chocolate and french vanilla. So, if you need a last minute present for a hot chocolate lover then I highly recommend this gift set. Each glass jar contains two servings which is a perfect way to find out if I like the flavours as I’ve never tried out any of these before. It’s also more cost effective than buying a Christmas hot chocolate from the big Coffee brands and then not liking it. I made this mistake last Christmas £4 less and a full cup of orange hot chocolate that I disliked. But, it’s not a hot chocolate without decorations! Of course, I had to add squirty cream and a mini gingerbread tree on top for decoration.
