My Disney Story from the very beginning

Well I guess you’re here to hear my story, the reason why I love Disney so much. So, I thought I’d start from the very beginning. I’ve visited Disneyland Paris from a very young age around 1 years old. My parents didn’t have a lot of money but they always made ends meet and managed to take me to Disney. For this I’m forever grateful to them, they made so many sacrifices themselves so they could make the memories that I now cherish. Without them doing this I don’t think I would love Disney as much as I do. I of course watched a lot of their films as a child but visiting Disneyland Paris is far different.

The Very Beginning

Me and Disney

Now as you can see in this picture, little Brooke adored Disney. The very cheesy smile says it all. As a child I loved and still do love the magic that is Disney. For me it was a place of love, happiness and fun. A place to escape from the realities of life. Disneyland Paris also holds a special place in my heart as it is somewhere I visited with my auntie. I recently touched in a blog post on my auntie who passed away three years ago. My auntie took my family and all my cousins, aunties, uncles and grandparents to Disneyland Paris. She also loved Disney just as much as me and knew it was a magical place like no where else. I don’t have many memories from my childhood as my memory is not good but this holiday I remember bits and bats from walking down Main Street whilst it was “snowing” (the snow was fake) but as a child I remember how amazing this was. We all stood in awe. Then there was the parades, meeting characters and seeing the big man himself Santa! This trip was a once in a lifetime trip. We never got the chance to go back to Disney me and my auntie. Which was something I always wanted to but my auntie passed away before I had a job to pay for us to go.

I often get asked why do you still go to Disney? Isn’t Disney a place for children? Firstly, I don’t need that kind of negativity in my life! Secondly, Disney is a place for everyone, no matter what age you are. As I’ve grown up, Disney is a place that offers so many happy memories for me. From being with my auntie to past family vacations. Disney is a magical place like no where else. Somewhere that you can immerse yourself in a world of perfect, a world that won’t exist otherwise. Now I understand that the world cannot be perfect like this but for the short period of time it is what you need. I feel at home at Disney.

Now

Me & Mickey Mouse

But my whole Disney story started with a mouse… Mickey Mouse! Without Walt and Mickey I wouldn’t be here sharing my Disney story. I’ve recently just got back from Disneyland Paris. Another amazing trip which I got to share with my boyfriend. From the minute we arrived the whole trip was filled with magic. For me, there is no other place in the world that is as magical. Disney is a place to escape from the world we live in and go to a magical place full of happiness. I can’t wait to see what else will happen in my Disney story.

I’d love to hear your Disney Story! I tag Charlotte and Liz to share to talk about their Disney Story.
