Now, coming to the reality that I’m actually classed as an adult even though I still think I’m a child. I’ve realised that Halloween is no longer what it used to be. But, don’t worry I’ve got some brilliant tips to help you as an adult enjoy Halloween.
Let go of all your doubt and dress up! Even if you’re staying home all night get into the festivities. I love spending the weeks running up to Halloween searching costumes, couple costumes even though we never go out or do something. If you don’t feel like dressing up then what about a Halloween inspired make up look? I love messing around with makeup and Halloween is the perfect time to experiment. The crazier the look the better in my opinion!
Watch Halloween films the day/night before to get you into the spirit! If you need some inspiration then check out my top 5 Halloween films. I love singing along to the Halloween films songs especially the Addams family theme song I just can’t help myself.
Buy some candy. I have no trick or treaters as I live in student accommodation but I still buy some candy to sit and eat myself. That way you feel like you’re a part of the trick or treat festivities but from the comfort of your home.
Decorate everything. Now, this is my boyfriends least favourite thing. But, you bet I still decorate in secret and then he has no choice but to let me leave it up for one day at least. Also, carve a pumpkin. You don’t have to break the bank to decorate. You can get pumpkins for around £2-£3 and all you need is a pumpkin carving kit or a knife, just be careful you don’t want to hurt yourself. (for all the clumsy people like me be extra careful).
